The Labor “Safe” System

Client: Small-medium, private company

Industry: Plastics

Location: Sweden

Throughput: 35-40 tons (per day)

Model: LaborSave HC

Year: 2007

The Challenge: To meet European safety regulations.

The Facts: Concerned about work safety, a law-abiding Swedish company searched for ways to meet the European manual handling regulations. According to these regulations, workers may not lift more than 17 kilograms per action. The problem: Most sacks of raw materials, including the ones the Swedish workers were handling, weigh 25 kilos or more.

The Solution: The company learned about LaborSave through its logistics supplier who saw the system in action at another location.

At a meeting with LaborSave’s management, the Swedish factory owner recognized the system’s various advantages. Not only did it resolve individual worker safety, but it also modernized material handling, reduced loss of raw materials, and provided a cleaner work environment.

LaborSave personnel oversaw installation on-site and trained workers.

To Date: The Swedish client remains very satisfied with the enhanced efficiency the LaborSave system provides. In fact, he switched from buying in bulk to buying sacks from his logistics supplier.

The factory owner enthusiastically recommends LaborSave to others and has become a reference for the company.
